How I handle your details.

No one reads a privacy policy, so I've written this one the way I'd explain it down the phone: what gets collected, what I do with it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

Who's behind this site

This site is run by me, Chantelle Jeremy, a sole trader trading as Chantelle Builds, based in South Wales. If you send me something through this site, I'm the person who decides what happens to it.

The quickest way to reach me is hello@chantellebuilds.co.uk or 07424 838881. If you'd rather not use either, use the enquiry form and I'll come back to you.

What I collect

Only what you type into a form, plus a rough count of which pages you looked at. Nothing is scraped off other websites to build a profile on you.

  • Enquiries and quote requests

Your business name, your name, email, phone number, your current website if you have one, what you're after, the industry you're in, any style notes or logo you attach, and the domain name you searched for along with its price.

  • Booked calls

Your name, business, email, the number to call you on, whether you want a phone or video call, the time you picked and a line about what you'd like to talk about.

  • Free site audits

The web address you ask me to check, the score and issues it found, and your name, email and number when you ask for the full written report.

  • Purchases

Your name, email, what you bought, the amount and the date. Your card number and address go to Stripe, the payment processor, and never land in my records.

  • Visit statistics

Which pages were viewed, roughly which device and browser, and how the visit arrived. This is a count of visits, not a named profile.

What I do with it

Reply to you, put a quote together, prepare for and remind you about a booked call, keep a record of what was agreed and paid, and see which pages of this site are actually doing their job.

I don't sell your details, I don't add you to a bought-in mailing list, and I don't follow you around the internet with advertising. You only hear from me if you asked me to.

Who else sees your details

A handful of services sit behind this site. Each one only touches what it needs, and none of them are selling your data.

  • The platform this site runs on

Lovable hosts the site, its database and the emails this site sends, so your enquiry, booking or purchase record lives there.

  • Email

hello@chantellebuilds.co.uk is forwarded to my Gmail inbox, so Google stores the mail that arrives there.

  • Stripe

Stripe processes every payment and holds the card details. They're a payment processor in their own right and have their own privacy policy.

  • PostHog

PostHog counts visits and which pages were viewed, from its European servers, and only once you've accepted that in the cookie bar.

  • Google

Google serves the fonts this site is designed around, and Google Search Console tells me which searches brought people here.

  • Namecheap

When you search a domain name on this site, the exact name you typed is checked for availability with Namecheap.

  • WhatsApp and Instagram

If you start a chat there instead of here, those conversations sit with Meta under their own terms.

Cookies and the cookie bar

The bar at the bottom of the screen asks whether your visit can be counted. Until you answer, nothing is tracked and no analytics identifier is stored.

Whichever way you answer, your choice is saved in your browser so the bar doesn't keep appearing. Declining doesn't break anything: every form, audit and booking on this site works exactly the same.

To change your mind later, clear this site's stored data in your browser settings and the bar will ask again.

How long I keep things

I don't run a deletion schedule. Enquiries, bookings and audit results stay on file until you ask me to remove them, which means if you come back in three years I still have the brief we wrote.

Purchase records are kept for as long as tax rules require me to keep sales records. Everything else goes the moment you ask.

What you can ask me for

You can ask for a copy of everything I hold on you, ask me to correct something that's wrong, or ask me to delete it. Email hello@chantellebuilds.co.uk and I'll do it, usually the same day.

If you think I've handled something badly, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. I'd much prefer you came to me first.

If anything here is unclear, or you'd rather I never had your details in the first place, say so and I'll sort it out. That's the same promise I make on a project.
